On December 7, 2022, the final of the startup competition Karazin StartUp Week was held on the basis of Karazin Business School. According to the results of qualifying competitions, 14 teams from different faculties of Karazin University made it to the finals.
The contest lasted more than 3 months. During this time, the participants attended the lectures of specialists of the Karazin Business School and entrepreneurs. Also, young entrepreneurs constantly received mentoring consultations and solved team tasks.
In the final, students proposed startup projects and proved their social benefit to the jury. In addition, the participants developed a plan according to which their project can be implemented.

During September-December 2022, 90 participants attended the course, who not only mastered the theory and practice of European business principles, but also took part in the Karazin StartUp Week competition. 14 participating teams from different faculties of Karazin had the opportunity to present their startup projects and prove their social benefit to the jury.
Contest participants also received constant support and advice from BCETE project mentors and experts.

Business for $1
First-year students in the framework of StartUp project course presented their results for the "Business for $1" task.
Students were divided into teams and received $1 each to implement a business project. Investing more in the idea during the first stage was not allowed. Later, the earned money could be reinvested into the project.
The essence of the task was for to experience the competition and expand their horizons. Initially, it seemed impossible to realize any idea with $1, but our practice proves that determination can achieve amazing things. The highest score went to the team that earned the most within the limited period.
In the race for the top spot, each team demonstrated creativity and implemented unique plans: consulting services, tutoring, collecting and recycling bottles, pet care, and even investing in cryptocurrency!
The winning team was Starosta&Co, consisting of Lianna Oleksandra, Kostenko Lev, Ruban Hanna, and Mangova Valeriia. They earned in total 4540 UAH in a week, turning $1 into $123.
The combined earnings of all teams exceeded 14,000 UAH. The winners spent half of their earnings on charity, donating to the "Come Back Alive" fund, "UAnimals," and the restoration of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

In the race for the top spot, each team demonstrated creativity and implemented unique plans: consulting services, tutoring, collecting and recycling bottles, pet care, and even investing in cryptocurrency!
The winning team was Starosta&Co, consisting of Lianna Oleksandra, Kostenko Lev, Ruban Hanna, and Mangova Valeriia. They earned in total 4540 UAH in a week, turning $1 into $123.
The combined earnings of all teams exceeded 14,000 UAH. The winners spent half of their earnings on charity, donating to the "Come Back Alive" fund, "UAnimals," and the restoration of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Today, on December 6, 2023, the final of the Karazin StartUp Week startup competition took place at Karazin Business School. 12 teams from various faculties of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University reached the final based on the results of the selection rounds.
The competition lasted for over 3 months. During this time, participants attended lectures by experts from Karazin Business School and entrepreneurs. Young entrepreneurs also received constant mentorship consultations and worked on team tasks.
In the final, students presented their startup projects and demonstrated their societal impact to the jury. Additionally, participants developed plans for the implementation of their projects.
Congratulations to all the finalists of the competition! We wish you success in your future endeavors and always strive to be #One_Step_Ahead!

On November 1, 2024, the breakout sessions “Ensuring sustainable development of territories: socio-demographic aspect” and “Business creation: European tendency and examples” of the II International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Problems and Prospects of Ensuring Sustainable Socio-Economic Development of Territories” were held. The panel was attended by representatives of educational and research institutions, government and local authorities, and business from Algeria, Armenia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Indonesia, Poland, Thailand, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
The section discussed opportunities and challenges for the development of green energy in Ukraine on the path to energy efficiency and European integration, the peculiarities of skills transformation in the era of artificial intelligence, the impact of ownership structure on company productivity, and the role of universities in creating centers of sustainable development.
